Description

• Develop a comprehensive marketing, growth and GTM strategy • Design and lead the Growth Team (HRPA’s revenue generating and marketing activities) • Develop, manage, and monitor revenue and marketing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics • Drive performance of HRPA’s revenue strategies in alignment with the HRPA’s goals and objectives • Provide strategic guidance to and collaborate with the CEO, senior leadership team and board of directors, on marketing and growth • Drive brand evolution, development of holistic multi-channel marketing, communications strategy, media and government relationships strategy • Lead the development, implementation, and execution of the marketing and communications strategy and tactical plan, supporting both external and internal communications • Build on and establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting systems to monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and revenue-generating activities • Lead the execution of HRPA’s revenue growth strategy: - Oversight of the growth of HRPA’s B2B corporate and strategic partnerships, and sponsorships programs (corporate, academic, government, community, emerging companies, etc.) - Growth of existing and new programs (events, certifications, micro-credentials, professional development programs, and HRPA "Circles") - B2C - create and execute on a robust new member acquisition strategy (focusing on targeted cohorts to enable greater growth and greater lifetime value of each member acquired) - Build new strategy for and oversee the profitability, promotion, and evolution of the "Hire Authority" Job Board and HR Professional "Now" publication, including content management, distribution, advertising, etc. - Conceptualize, build and execute new marketing channels (editorial newsletter, podcast, etc.) • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and products • Monitor and analyze market trends and “competitors” to inform revenue strategies and membership acquisition, engagement and retention strategies • Develop and execute Government Relations and Stakeholders' strategy to effectively enable the HRPA to navigate and lead in the market appropriately, considering role as Regulator • Liaise with various ministries within the Provincial Government and various adjacent agencies on matters relevant to the HR profession to develop strategies, policy papers, advocacy to effectively engage with key stakeholders • Partner effectively with the Executive Leadership Team and other team members to ensure effective prioritization of product optimization to drive competitiveness of our product portfolio • Be accountable for results, focusing on both long and short-term strategies; take responsibility for accurate forecasting and meeting/exceeding agreed upon targets • Establish efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the member acquisition journey with a strong focus on student conversion, engagement and retention (in partnership with our member experience team) • Lead, manage, train, motivate, mentor and empower the Marketing and Growth functional teams (includes a mix of people leaders, functional leads, and individual contributors) • Foster a culture that reflects HRPA’s values

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressive professional work experience in marketing, growth marketing, performance marketing, or growth (business development experience an asset) • Minimum of 7+ years of leadership experience at the Director level or above, including at least 2-3 years at an executive level (ie. VP/SVP/CMO/CRO) • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through marketing programs and initiatives • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and manage teams • Highly competent in translating complex data, consumer insights, reports and various materials into easily consumable assets using effective graphic design, infographics, dashboards and visual storytelling • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and speech writing skills, with experience in public and media relations • Experience in stakeholder relations (public, government, media) is an asset • Experience working with an NFP/Association is an asset • Excellent strategic and analytical skills • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders • Effective project and time management capabilities and strong organizational skills, with proven ability to meet strict and competing deadlines, for multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment • Ability to gain trust and provide guidance across the sales and marketing organizations • Experience with HubSpot and Salesforce is an asset • Willingness to travel, minimally, if required (mostly throughout Ontario and/or attend conferences 1-2 times per year) - eligibility to travel freely to and from the United States is preferred
